Together, we aim to improve 1 million homes in the private rental sector and, through fundraising, help to enable Shelter to provide vital advice and support to those in housing need.
During our five-year partnership, we want to put housing back on the national agenda, transform the standards of Britain's homes, especially in the private rented sector, and help people struggling with bad housing or debt.
British Gas and Shelter are committed to influencing policy, providing practical help and advice as well as making sure renters and landlords know their rights and responsibilities.
In 2014, British Gas will donate £1 to Shelter for every SwimBritain participant.
